The Invitation

To be like Him.

Ask yourself the question: Am I a disciple, or only a Christian by current standards? Is there anything I hold more important than being like Jesus?

There is a call before us to return to the ancient way, the way of the cross. Jesus still calls us as He called His first disciples: "Follow Me."

To follow Him is to learn His ways, walk closely with Him, and allow every part of our lives to be formed into His likeness. It is an invitation to let go of what hinders love, take up our cross, and give ourselves fully to Him.

We did not come to remain unchanged. We want our lives to be altered by the presence of Jesus, to live in constant companionship with Him, and to follow wherever He leads.

The School

To be wholehearted disciples of Jesus.

HOUSE Discipleship School is an in person discipleship school based at HOUSE Denver. Students gather twice a week for biblical teaching, shared times of prayer, small groups, discussion, and intentional community. The school is structured to fit within the rhythms of everyday life, allowing students to participate while continuing in their jobs, education, and family life.

HOUSE Discipleship School exists to strengthen and equip the local church.

Our desire is to see people rooted in His Word, established in prayer, and formed into His likeness. A people who follow Him wherever He calls and live as His witnesses.

To be the salt of the earth, the light of the world, a city set on a hill.

The Cost of Following Jesus

Jesus is worthy of our yes.

Many long to live lives abandoned to Christ. Today is the day. Count the cost. Answer His call.

Father, let me be weak that I might lose my clutch on everything temporal. My life, my reputation, my possessions, Lord, let me lose the tension of the grasping hand… Rather, open my hand to receive the nail of Calvary, as Christ's was opened — that I, releasing all, might be released, unleashed from all that binds me now. So let me release my grasp. Jim Elliot, Missionary
